Interdepartmental Developmental Disabilities Certificate

The Interdepartmental Developmental Disabilities Certificate is a 12-credit-hour program designed to provide practical knowledge about the causes, treatments, and policies related to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The program prepares students for a variety of professions, including education, speech-language pathology, occupational and physical therapy, family counseling, and nursing. Open to students from any department at FSU who meet the prerequisites, the IDD Certificate attracts participants from fields such as social work, psychology, music therapy, and applied behavior analysis. The program emphasizes a supportive, interdisciplinary approach to enhancing the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
