Anie Bridges
Aine is a second-year graduate student in Florida State University's SCSD program. In her studies to become an SLP, her interest is helping children be able to voice and advocate for themselves. For her future career, Aine's biggest goal is to give quality to the life of each person she cares for, to see them grow and be happy in their everyday environment.
Ansley Brown
Ansley is a second-year graduate student in Florida State University's SCSD program. She is a KiDDs grant recipient, giving her the opportunity to partake in specialized training across interdisciplinary teams, including occupational therapy, physical therapy, and special education. After graduation, she plans to become a CCC-SLP clinician to provide comprehensive support to children and their families.
Aliya Junaideen
Aliya is a dedicated SLP Bridge student at Florida State University. In 2020, she earned her BS in Psychology with a minor in Child Development. After working as a Registered Behavior Technician in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, Aliya developed an interest in communication disorders. Her research interests focus on providing effective early intervention services for children and families.

Lauren is a second-year student at Florida State University’s SCSD program. Her passion resides with the pediatric population, where she is dedicated to helping children reach their full social and academic potential. Her academic path focuses on enhancing the lives of families and children by improving their communication abilities.

Grace English
Grace is a junior at Florida State University majoring in Communication Science and Disorders with a minor in Child Development. Her work on the FGRBI project includes coding and data analysis on each of the FGRBI Key Indicators observed in early intervention home visit videos. Her research interests include learning about the role SLPs can play in enhancing interactions between caregivers and their children.
Emma Rhea
Emma is a senior at Florida State University majoring in Communication Science and Disorders. She began her time at FSU as a political science major but quickly found her passion and love for walking with people through communication disorders. Her work on the FGRBI project includes coding early intervention home visit videos to identify the FGRBI Key Indicators observed during the visit.
Olivia Trencho
Olivia is a junior at Florida State University majoring in Communication Science and Disorders with a minor in Child Development. Danielle completed undergraduate studies at Florida State University and is now a third-year student in the AuD program at the University of Florida. Upon graduation, her aspirations are set on working within an ENT/Private Practice setting, specializing in diagnostics, hearing aids, and vestibular audiology. Her desire to enhance the quality of life for patients with hearing and balance impairments drives her passion for audiology.

Emma Ohrstrom
Emma is a senior at Florida State University majoring in Communication Science and Disorders with a minor in Education. On the LEIFc project, she video records the mother and infant interactions during breast or bottle feeding in their homes, then codes the videos identifying the infant’s hunger and fullness cues and the mother’s behavioral responses. Emma loves working with infants and hopes to work with pediatrics as an SLP in the future.

Zoie Iglesias
Zoie is a senior at FSU majoring in Communication Science and Disorders. Zoie’s thesis project will be used as an exploratory study towards validating the Parenting Interactions with Children: Checklist of Observations Linked to Outcomes (PICCOLO) measure. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the utility and construct validity of the PICCOLO in examining pre and post child-caregiver interactions after social media intervention.

Diana Abarca
Ashley Sellers
Ashley is a doctoral student in the SCSD program at Florida State. She is a recipient of the Legacy Fellowship, which has allowed her to pursue research in early communication interventions. Her interest in early communication development stems from years of clinical practice as an SLP, serving families of the most vulnerable members of society: infants and toddlers.
